Happy September! I took an unplanned August Break from blogging – as you could probably tell – to enjoy a first summer of married life, our new house, and to spend more time with friends and family. I moved a bit slower, took less photos, and didn’t give too much thought to the internet outside of work. It was nice, I’m not gonna lie, but I missed this space and the motivation to be creative and document all the changes going on around here. So! I’m back! Consider this a recap in photos…
Of day trips to London…where we caught up with my sister and brother-in-law, took in a game at Wembley, visited a floating bookstore…
…enjoyed the V&A, took long walks along the river punctuated by excellent cups of coffee…
…and FINALLY caught a glimpse of the Changing of the Guard (though I don’t love crowds so I was happy to hang back and observe the observers).
I joined a knitting group! I don’t knit, but I do crochet and the ladies were happy to have me along anyway. We’re making twiddle muffs for dementia patients so I’ve got a great reason now to deplete my yarn stash that has been slowly taking over my office for the last few years!
We also took in another night at the Bristol Zoo for their summer nights series! I mostly go for the lemurs and penguins, but the food and entertainment are great as well!
And if you’re wondering what that random book photo is doing up there – I started a #bookstagram! This is pretty much the only internet-y thing that I’ve been spending time on lately and that’s because Hi, my name is Bobbi and I have a book problem. 😉
I’ve got lots of reviews coming up soon, but if you want some mini-recaps and reviews, follow along on @bobbireadsbooks!
That’s pretty much it! I’ve been embracing the quiet and calm of this season and as we ease into Fall I expect to continue on that track (more blogging, though). Hope your summers have been amazing!
