Well, hello there, March!
I hope that since the Universe has refused to listen to me and stop time from moving so fast, that at the very least you’ll bring good weather. And soon. My current view (below) is getting in the way of running and a general desire to leave the house.
So work on that, will you, March? Thanks!
It’s been a while since I’ve done a Currently post, so why don’t we dive in?
City of Bohane by Kevin Barry. Good LORD I have no idea what is happening or what anyone is saying. I imagine that this general sense of confusion and head scratching is what some people might have experienced when reading A Brief History of Seven Killings?! But…I mean even if you’ve never experienced patois in real life, the words and sentence structure appear to bear a resemblance to anything you’ve ever heard before. Ryan is laughing at me and asking me what I’m going to do when we go to Ireland and to that I reply I GUESS I JUST WON’T KNOW WHAT THE HELL ANYONE IS SAYING!!
The wedding, duh. We wrapped up most of our stationery and are excited to be in the final stretch of planning! Since we’re going mostly paperless – thank me later, environment – I’m hoping that we can avoid a lot of the nightmare RSVP stories going around the wedding boards. I’ve got a dress fitting this weekend and my NutriBullet broke this morning so I’ll just have to sob and eat my vegetables unblended and hope the diet doesn’t go totally off the rails.
Ready to Blog is doing so well lately, and with Ryan on board it’s been so fulfilling to focus on and grow my business. I’ll be taking a little time off for the wedding, so the next few weeks are Hustle City. I’m both nervous and excited!
Looking Forward To
Other than the wedding? Building on my yoga practice, getting my running times back down (if the rain ever stops), and getting out of the house more! With Summer around the corner, I’m planning lots of adventures and trips, but even just going to my Book Club has helped me feel a little less ALL WORK ALL THE TIME which is good for balance and good for me so I’m just looking forward to more of the life stuff that has nothing to do with work or wedding.
Can someone talk me out of this dress? I’ve been looking at it longingly every day for like three weeks and I don’t neeeeeeeed it but it’s so pretty, right? Like, I want to get it and swan around in it to like, the grocery store, and flip my hair at anyone who dares suggest that that’s a weird thing to do.
Life is (thankfully) pretty simple lately, so that’s about all I have to report!
