I’ve shown you a bit of Istanbul by day, but the city is really just as beautiful by night!
Things started getting dark as we were leaving one of the spice markets, and I think for the first time in my life when I looked up and saw a SWARM of birds I wasn’t scared! I was probably just too enchanted with the city to remember that birds are vicious, horrible things, but it was such a pretty sight!
There was so much life and hustle and bustle that the steady rainfall didn’t really bother us as we were making our way home. We ended up stopping at a church (where you can light a candle and make wishes) and a cafe owned by a really talented photographer that’s plastered with his work! He was actually in the shop at the time, but I couldn’t work up the nerve to say “hello”, so we just sipped our coffee and chai lattes and enjoyed the yummy desserts before we called it a night.
