We got up on our second (third?) day and headed straight for the home of our host’s mother. Uhhh, I want to be this amazing and fabulous when I’m in my 70s! Having a sip of some strawberry flavored vodka with our sugar-dusted chocolate truffles was non-optional, and we got to hear amazing stories about going to NATO parties in Malta and other worldly travels, and I could have happily sat there for hours listening to her talk! Her walls were plastered with family photos and you could just tell that her life was incredibly full. It was an energy that I can’t properly describe, but I hope to give off one day!
After that we headed for a walk along the Bosphorus to work up an appetite for lunch and dinner. The weather was much more mild than in England, so we took our time and chatted about different customs in different countries and trips that we’ve taken and stopped for a few minutes to gawk at all of the jellyfish that lined the banks. (O.O)
I was lucky to catch a few “golden hour” shots, so I’ll share those tomorrow. But…sigh. I want to go back!
