I’m sure that I’ll be boring you to tears in the coming weeks with talk of yoga and how positive and healing it’s been for me this summer, but not today. Today, I’m so excited to share some photos that I took a few weeks ago. The yoga studio that I attend was launching their paddle board offerings in Miami and I tagged along after an early morning bikram class to scope out the scene.
A bit of a weird thing about me: I grew up and have lived near the water for most of my life but I hate being on top of or near the surface of it. Scuba diving? Love it. Snorkeling? Surfing? No, thank you! Feel like I’m going to drown. And I’m a strong swimmer! That’s all my way of saying that I didn’t partake in this first outing, but I was happy to camp out on shore and take photos while my fellow yogis paddled about in the water.
The morning was one of those perfect, beautiful Miami summer mornings characterized by scorching heat coupled with a soothing breeze coming in from the ocean. Sunny Isles Beach was the perfect backdrop, so I probably took about a thousand photos as I walked up and down the beach and pier. Buckle up. I may have been gone for a while but I didn’t spend any of that time learning how to edit myself!
You can sign up for a stand-up paddle board outing via B Yoga’s website and make sure that you visit their studio and SUP Instagram accounts for shots of yoga, Miami, and the studio’s little yogi mascot, Lola!
