I tend to be horrendous about exploring the Things to be Seen in the places which I’m familiar. (For example, I’ve never been on The Eye in London, and I’ve been back in Miami for weeks and have yet to step foot on a beach.)
Thankfully, my sister made sure that when we got to Ocho Rios there were activities planned for the wedding guests. I’m still kicking myself for not going diving, but I did make sure to go on the Prospect Plantation Tour the day before the wedding!
We headed out in a big group, climbed into trolleys, and settled in for a ride around the plantation.
The plantation is home to a wide range of crops and animals, and the tour guide was a serious delight. It was a hot day but the breeze and pit stops for fresh coconut made the 90-minute tour really comfortable and enjoyable.
We were following in some very famous footsteps, as you can see:
I definitely didn’t want to leave…and I don’t think this little guy wanted us to, either!
