Happy Friday! The weekend is so close, I can practically taste it! While I’d love to lounge around and dig into magazines all weekend…
Actually, that’s exactly what I’m going to do. I have a party to attend tomorrow, but other than that I’m going to try to do as little as possible outside of reading, drinking coffee, and reading some more.
I’ll get to the links before you fall asleep at how boring that sounds!
+ Some thoughts on reading – oops! – and, by extension, blogging.
+ The hidden world of the typewriter. (Love that Tom Hanks has a collection of 200+ typewriters! That almost makes me forgive him for The Da Vinci Code. Unless Dan Brown saves baby dolphins in his spare time, however, he’s still dead to me.)
+ Is it weird that I’m kind of checking out everyone’s bookshelves in this project?
+ Speaking of bookshelves, this is my dream setup.
+ What makes an iconic design? Lessons from the London Underground.
+ I really like this Coffee and Wifi series!
+ Michelle talks about going manual! (Then lists some great resources, check it out!)
+ These sound like my kind of book clubs!
+ 5 red flags in your job history and how to combat them.
+ Allison Janney has pretty much solidified her permanent position as my imaginary best friend, so this is just the icing on the cake.
+ This is a bit graphic but very cool, vintage crime scenes superimposed on modern screens.
+ Also from fstoppers, check this out if you’re tired of Facebook ruining your images when you upload them.
+ I enjoyed this NYFW recap.
+ Very cool, but might make your head hurt: Putting time in perspective.
+ Obsessed with this identity.
+ Siobhan talks about working from home in this lovely post.
+ Well-read women.
+ If I never see another Great Expectations adaptation, I’ll be OK (I’m looking at you, Gwyneth). But I can’t deny that this looks excellent.
+ Hilarious and true.
+ This story is kind of WTF, but…his face. Swoon. (Sorry, Ryan.)
+ Poor Jennifer Aniston’s uterus.
+ Man Repeller on diffusion lines.
+ “A thousand minutes later, I get to the cashier. She is 95 percent beautiful. “Have you brought your reusable bags?” … No, they are at home with their 2 dozen once-used friends.” On surviving Whole Foods, by Kelly MacLean.
+ Reviews of self-help books by professional athletes.
+ Jessica Hische talks passion projects. (Though…I think I could do without a lot of her kind of offensive asides.)
+ Kallah, you rock.
+ Aurora and the template of our grief.
+ Because who doesn’t want to go to a lawnmower museum?
+ A few reasons why reading is sexy.
+ This is pretty spot on.

Okay, clearly there’s a theme with these links. Time to go finish work so that I can get back to my book and read until Monday!
